Story of New West Europe – Early European Union (formed in 1500)

In an alternate history where Europe formed an early European Union in the 1500s, the continent’s nations primarily resist due to high European government taxes. Rather than engaging in full-scale wars, the resistance is limited to opposing these taxes.

The USA, along with citizens from the Thirteen Colonies, steps in to aid the European government in negotiating a peace treaty with the resistance. This collaboration leads to American and African Union support, providing both infrastructure and weapons.

Despite the internal tensions, Europe remains at peace, resulting in little to no advancements in weaponry and military capabilities. Notably, the borders of the Netherlands and Belgium are expanded during this period.

This unique historical scenario showcases a Europe united much earlier than in our timeline, facing its own set of challenges and alliances.
